Eddie and May meet up in a run-down motel at the edge of the desert, rekindling their explosive and damaging love affair.
In Fool for Love, Lachlan Ruffy and Kate Betcher play the troubled loverswho are reunited for the umpteenth time, when he tracks her down at a seedy motel at the edge of the Mojave Desert. As they verbally tear into each other, the details of their dark secret are revealed. Vicious, passionate and destructive, Sam Shepard’s flair for the damaged is in full flight.
This is a production in which damaged people do horrible things to the people they love the most. Hard-hitting and heart-breaking, the audience will be exposed to the emotional, physical and sexual aggression for which Shepard’s work is known.
